Correction to last night’s post: it may not have been in car rides with my parents that I sang “100 bottles of beer on the wall.” It may have been in the back of the school bus on field trips. I love my mother! Number 1: she reads my blog daily! And Number 2: she discusses my blog with my dad and if they remember one of my stories differently, my mother will lovingly let me know.
For the record, they believe that we sang “Found a Peanut” and “Fried Ham, Fried Ham, Cheese and Bologna” on our car rides. I cannot quite connect those songs to counting down my son’s days to college. By the way, he loved the “bottles of beer on the wall” reference. Yikes! Maybe I need to rework the “Found a Peanut” song,
Thank you Mom and Dad for reading and paying close attention to the details in my blog.
Did you ever think you would reach the day where your parents remembered more than you did about your own childhood?????? Or that you mixed up the story because of your own memory????? This is when I say to my sister, “I’m feeling more like mom every day.” xoxoxoxo
